If your organization supports or provides recreation in Idaho, we want you to be a part of Boise Rec Fest. We are seeking retailers, manufacturers, clubs, non-profits, guides, outfitters, tourism agencies, tourist attractions, educational institutions, health and fitness organizations, and more to exhibit at Boise Rec Fest 2010.

Exhibiting at Boise Rec Fest offers an unparalleled environment to promote your organization to thousands of people interested in recreation in a short period of time. Exhibiting provides opportunities to gain customers, members and/or supporters by letting attendees know exactly who you are, what you offer and how to find you.

The following prices are good until May 15th. After May 15th they rise $200. The last day to register is June 1st.

Exhibitor Eligibility Guidelines

Boise Rec Fest and the Boise Parks and Recreation Department are committed to maintaining the beauty and accessibility of Ann Morison Park for all patrons prior to, during and after the Boise Rec Fest weekend.  In order to maintain the park facilities Boise Rec Fest and BPR reserve the right to limit quantities and/or size of equipment, accessories, or other items being displayed and/or sold at Boise Rec Fest.

The following is to be used as a general guideline for exhibitors and is not all inclusive.  Boise Rec Fest and BPR reserve the right to deny exhibitor applications at any point.

  • Items to be displayed or sold must be recreation related.
  • All items to be sold or displayed must fit within the immediate area of your booth.  Storage outside of the booth is not allowed.
  • Motorized vehicle displays are allowed only on paved areas on a limited basis and require pre-approval from Boise Rec Fest. Display vehicles cannot be moved in or out during the festival.
  • Large equipment that requires a truck or trailer are allowed only on paved areas on a limited basis and require pre-approval from Boise Rec Fest. Display equipment cannot be moved in or out during the festival.
  • Exhibitors may be required to limit quantities of stock to meet the requirements above.

Boise Rec Fest is a unique marketing opportunity. By sponsoring this festival, your business will become branded with Idaho’s premier recreation festival. Our sponsorship program is designed to ensure maximum exposure by limiting the number of sponsors - you’ll stand out, no matter what your level of participation.

Boise Rec Fest will be widely promoted and advertised throughout the Boise Valley and beyond. Estimated attendance is approximately 30,000 visitors over two days.

Boise Rec Fest is also seeking individual donors and community partners. We accept donations of cash, goods and services. Partners are not expected to provide financial contributions, but rather to help promote and support the festival. In return, Boise Rec Fest will promote your organization to the community and festival attendees.

Lead a Workshop/Activity

2010 WORKSHOPS/ACTIVITY LEADERS ARE SET

Workshops and Activities are set for 2010. Please check back for 2011.

Through activities and workshops, Boise Rec Fest will allow attendees to experience and learn firsthand about recreation.

Activities may be open to all attendees, or tailored for specific groups such as children or individuals with disabilities. Examples of activities include disc golf, volleyball, tennis, basketball, skate boarding, horseshoes, climbing wall, soccer and Geocaching.

Workshops may be interactive, demonstrations, lectures, speakers or presentations. Examples of topics include bicycle maintenance, fly fishing, Dutch oven cooking, self-defense, golf lessons, baseball clinics, avalanche awareness and wilderness survival.

Volunteer

We have a great line up of exhibitors, workshops, vendors and FUN planned, but we need your help to pull it all off…actually the help of you, your friends, your family and co-workers.  We are starting to fill positions and sincerely hope that you're excited to be a part of this inaugural event to bring our community together to celebrate recreation throughout Idaho! There are over 1,000 shifts that need to be filled by volunteers.  We have a variety of shifts and roles available to chose from, so check out the information below and sign yourself up today!

Volunteer Positions

The following are some of the many volunteer positions needed for Boise Rec Fest. If you are interested in volunteering, please click on the link below to register.

  • Information Booth – Assist park visitors by sharing information regarding the event.

  • Merchandise Booth – Assist in the sales of Rec Fest merchandise to patrons. Will help patrons find items they are looking for and answer any questions about merchandise.

  • Trash and Recycling - Monitor the trash and recycling stations in the food court area to make sure people are properly disposing of their items; empty containers and replace if collection/pick up is not available at the right moment

  • Event Set-Up & Take Down – These critical roles will assist in set-up and take-down of the event infrastructure and ensuring we leave the park better than we found it

  • Parking Lot Monitors – Monitor parking lot flow and collect funds to support Boise Rec Fest

  • Safety & Security – Assist in keeping Boise Rec Fest a safe and family friendly event.  These volunteers will need to attend a special training to be effective in this role

  • Entertainment – A few volunteers are needed to assist with stage management, including moving of equipment and working with our musicians

  • Workshop Assistants – Assist workshop presenters in set-up and take-down of their presentations

  • Exhibitor Assistants – Assist exhibitors as they move-in, get settled and move out

  • Concessions – Assist in pouring and serving in our beer and wine garden.  Many of these roles require TIPS training, so please read the job descriptions thoroughly

  • Volunteer Float Pool – Want to help, but don’t care what you do…sign up here and we’ll find a home for you!

Support Boise Rec Fest

Idaho Rec Connection, Inc., the organization behind Boise Rec Fest, is an Idaho based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes active, healthy and recreational lifestyles among people of all ages and abilities by educating them about the myriad of recreational opportunities available throughout the state of Idaho.

Boise Rec Fest is seeking and accepting donations of cash, goods and services to help launch the festival. Festivals are expensive to organize, operate and promote. While efficient planning and volunteer support will dramatically reduce our costs, there are many expenses that will have to be incurred to organize and promote the festival.
