Boise Rec Fest is seeking and accepting donations of cash, goods and services to help launch the festival. Festivals are expensive to organize, operate and promote. While efficient planning and volunteer support will dramatically reduce our costs, there are many expenses that will have to be incurred to organize and promote the festival.

Read Before Donating
Idaho Rec Connection, Inc., the organization that is producing Boise Rec Fest, is still in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.
According to page 12 of IRS Publication 4220: "While an organization’s Form 1023 is waiting for approval from the IRS, the organization may operate as a tax-exempt organization....Although donors have no assurance that contributions are tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes until the application is approved, contributions made while an application is pending would qualify if the application is approved. However, if the application is disallowed, contributions would not qualify."
