Volunteer at Boise Rec Fest

Boise Rec Fest is a celebration of Idaho recreation! Last year, nearly 15,000 people came and enjoyed the festival which featured exhibits, workshops, free lessons, demonstrations, live music, food and drink. However, none of this could have happened without the generous help of all of our volunteers.

The second annual Boise Rec Fest is coming June 25th and 26th in Ann Morrison Park and we need help again…actually the help of you, your friends, your family and co-workers. We are looking for volunteers to help us plan the festival, such as a youth area director and activity leaders, as well as many positions during the festival. Festival Weekend Volunteer Positions

Event and Exhibitor Set-Up & Take Down – These critical roles will assist in set-up and take-down of the event infrastructure and ensuring we leave the park better than we found it.
Information Booth – Assist park visitors by sharing information regarding the event.
Trash and Recycling - Monitor the trash and recycling stations in the food court area to make sure people are properly disposing of their items; empty containers and replace if collection/pick up is not available at the right moment.
Safety & Security – Assist in keeping Boise Rec Fest a safe and family friendly event. These volunteers will need to attend a special training to be effective in this role.
Entertainment – A few volunteers are needed to assist with stage management, including moving of equipment and working with our musicians.
Workshop Assistants – Assist workshop presenters in set-up and take-down of their presentations.
Concessions – Assist in pouring and serving in our beer and wine garden. Many of these roles require TIPS training, so please read the job descriptions thoroughly
Merchandise Booth – Assist in the sales of Rec Fest merchandise to patrons. Will help patrons find items they are looking for and answer any questions about merchandise.
Volunteer Float Pool – Want to help, but don’t care what you do…sign up here and we’ll find a home for you!
